OVERVIEW

The educational model of the College of Future Technology (CFT) is characterized by a high degree of innovation and complexity. From problem-driven project-based learning pathways to triad-supervisor collaboration, competency-based assessment, and authentic learning experiences, these practices have expanded beyond the boundaries of traditional disciplines and curricula while also bringing new educational challenges. For example, how students develop meaningful problem awareness in uncertain and complex contexts, how cross-disciplinary projects maintain both research depth and learning quality, and how faculty members balance guidance with student autonomy are questions that cannot be fully addressed through experience alone.

Therefore, CFT regards educational research as a systematic response to its evolving educational practices. By studying authentic teaching and learning processes, the College aims to generate evidence-based, transferable, and continuously improvable educational knowledge, providing sustained support for educational innovation and the further development of its educational model.

PILLAR PROJECT

The Pillar Project is the core entrepreneurial education mechanism of the College of Future Technology. Centered on real-world challenges, each project is guided by Project Supervisors in collaboration with Academic Supervisors and Industry Advisors, fostering cross-disciplinary integration and impact-driven outcomes.

Through continuous iteration, the Pillar Project creates an authentic, problem-driven learning environment. Students engage in the full cycle of innovation—from problem discovery and solution design to implementation—systematically developing transferable skills such as cross-disciplinary collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation.

More than a project-based learning model, the Pillar Project serves as a driving engine for industry–academia integration and educational innovation, cultivating future talents with entrepreneurial mindset and real-world impact.
