Li CHEN

Dr. Li CHEN received his PhD degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2017. Prior to joining HKUST(GZ) in 2022, he has worked as a visiting scholar at Harvard University and postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and co-founded 2 tech start-ups. He primarily focuses on CAD/CAM, manufacturing technologies, optimization, and robotics. His work has been mainly published on international journals e.g., CAD, JCDE, computer and graphics. He won Gaheon research award in 2016. And he is currently serving as the deputy president of Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society, Additive Manufacturing chapter.
