Allan QianKai ZHONG

Allan ZHONG is an alumnus of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and a Founding Partner of the Guangzhou Red Bird Qihang Fund. He also serves as a mentor and judge for entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) [HKUST(GZ)], the Fok Ying Tung Research Institute, and the HKUST One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition.
With extensive experience in business and market advisory, market development, business operations, and resource integration for technology ventures in China and overseas, Allan works closely with deep-tech companies throughout their entrepreneurial and growth journeys. His approach combines first-principles thinking, business consulting, and capital operations with a systematic understanding of how technology ventures develop and scale.
His representative investments include Quectel Wireless Solutions (A-share listed), Mobvista (Hong Kong-listed technology unicorn), Jiayuan Technology, Kaisi, SICOOL Technology, StarFive Technology, YRCloudFile, Guna Technology, Zhiwei Advanced Materials, Sufang Technology, Zhike Automation, Shudian Technology, and Tuoyuan Intelligence, among others.
Earlier in his career, Allan worked in technology investment banking in Silicon Valley, Strategy and Consulting at Huawei, Nortel Networks, and Siemens. His clients included PayPal Mobile, Canonical (Ubuntu), Maluuba (acquired by Microsoft), EyeVerify (acquired by Ant Financial), as well as major international telecommunications operators such as Telefónica and leading Russian telecom operators.
