OVERVIEW

Established in late 2023, the Lab of Future Technology (LFT) has been dedicated to establishing a premier laboratory for Red Bird MPhil (RBM) pillar projects, as well as entrepreneurial initiatives for the College of Future Technology (CFT) community, thereby supporting the education of RBM students. Noteworthily, LFT proudly hosts the “Bridge” program (“创业桥计划), which represents a significant extension of the RBM educational initiative in the realm of entrepreneurship education. This program deeply integrates the core principles of the RBM education project, which emphasizes the comprehensive enhancement of students’ capabilities and the simultaneous advancement of knowledge and transferrable skills, with the aim of transforming these abilities into tangible entrepreneurial outcomes.

By creating a platform that simulates a real business environment for RBM graduates and students, the “Bridge” Program breaks the boundaries of traditional research-based master’s education, achieving a close integration of theory and practice, and providing students with unique opportunities for learning and growth. To better meet the research needs of the Pillar Projects and the entrepreneurial requirements of RBM students and graduates, LFT is planning and constructing a total of 1,200 square meters of dry and wet laboratories, located in E3-121, W2-421, and W2-625. The W2-421 laboratory, with an area of about 500 square meters, is scheduled to be operational by coming September to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2024 “Bridge” Program.
